Commercial Glass Work

We have done quite a lot of commercial glass work/art over the years and here is a brief showcase of some of the things that we can do. Here you will see how we can use slumped glass, sandblasted glass and painted glass to really promote your business or help you give your project a totally unique designer element.

Manuka Clock Tower

Manuka Clock TowerManuka Clock Tower

This clock tower is located in Manuka, Canberra. Each face of the clock is made up of 4 panels of slumped glass. Each panel of slumped glass is 1.200m x 1.200m in size. The panels were first slumped to give the glass some depth and then etched to create a contrast.

The panels had to be individually lifted up nine metres to the clock platform and over an awning that was about four metres in width. Once we had the panels up there they had to be carefully maneuvered into position and then fitted with great care.

Slumped Glass Step

Glass Step

This slumped glass step has been made out of 20mm thick glass. Pebbles were collected from around the world and organised under the glass step to represent a river. In the end the job looked fantastic and is still a great feature leading up to the stage.

Slumped Glass Wall Hanging

Wall Hanging

Here is a 100% unique slumped glass wall hanging. The client wanted their own designs slumped into the glass and it looks superb.

The slumped glass wall hanging is located in their reception area and the overall size of this piece is 2.400m x 1.200m.

Slumped and Painted Signs

Here are three wall mounted slumped glass signs that display each companies logo. Each piece was slumped and then painted on the back of the glass in the company colours.

Treasury SignNaccho Sign

These two slumped glass signs have been suspended from ceiling on stainless steel cables which makes them look as if they are floating.

Each panel has been fixed in the ceiling and is then anchored to the ground to stop excess movement and each sign is very secure.

Slumped Glass Divider

Here we created and then mounted three slumped glass panels to the back of a cabinet to act as a room divider

Sandblasted Glass Partitions

If you take a close look at this particular job you will notice that each sandblasted glass panel matches in seamlessly with the next and provides a great screen for any conference room.

Glass Partition

This sandblasted glass partitioning was done in a club and adds a great deal of character to a fairly standard dining area.

Slumped and Painted Glass Tiles

WR Engineering MBA Display

This is the floor of a display area. The tiles are 10mm thick glass that was first slumped and then they were painted on the back with a metallic paint.

The centre tiles have had the company logo slumped into them and then painted with the company colours. This display also has a mirror ceiling with chrome down lights in it and it makes the floor glow when they are turned on.

Various Glass Signs

Urban Contractors Sign

This slumped glass sign has lights in the top and bottom rails that send beams of light through the glass. The wiring for the lights has been fed through the wall so that it is not visible.

This photo was taken during the day which doesn't do the lighting effect enough justice.

Office Name Sign

Here is a simple sandblasted glass sign for the office of Thomas Mackintosh.

Slumped Office Sign

Here is a slumped glass office sign that is mounted off the wall with specially designed buttons to hold it in place.

Hanging Sign

This painted glass hallway sign has been hung from ceiling on stainless steel cables and gives a much classier look than other options like perspex.
